Sam Energy Business Delegation Visits Mongolia for Trade Talks
Recently, at the invitation of Mongolia’s State Property Policy Coordination Committee (SPPCC), the General Manager of Sam Energy Limited ("Sam Energy") led a delegation to Mongolia for business negotiations. The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Chinggel, Chairman of the SPPCC. Also present were the Director of the SPPCC Office, an Advisor to Mongolia Port Group, and the Deputy General Manager of Sam Energy.
In Ulaanbaatar, SPPCC Chairman Chinggel extended a cordial welcome to the Sam Energy delegation. He emphasized that China remains Mongolia’s primary source of investment and largest trading partner, noting that Chinese enterprises’ investments would further boost bilateral trade and stimulate local economic development. The SPPCC pledged full support for Sam Energy’s operations in Mongolia and committed to elevating cooperation in energy, minerals, and infrastructure between the two nations.
Sam Energy’s General Manager thanked Chairman Chinggel for the hospitality and outlined the development history and strategic plans of both China Sam Enterprise Group and Sam Energy. He highlighted Sam Energy’s long-standing dedication to bulk commodities like coal and minerals, aligned with national energy strategies, and expressed commitment to expanding investments in Mongolia. Through close collaboration with the SPPCC, Sam Energy aims to advance the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor.
The SPPCC oversees 170+ state-owned enterprises across sectors. This visit marks Sam Energy’s first overseas business engagement since the optimization of pandemic controls, holding significant strategic importance. Both parties exchanged views and reached consensus on cooperation projects including coal trade, mineral development, and railway construction. Sam Energy will continue fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities, facilitating the development of China-Mongolia energy corridors to safeguard national energy security.
