[Group] Chairman of Mongolia's Osk LLC Visits China Sam for Cooperation Talks
On March 24, 2023, at the invitation of the General Manager of Sam Energy Limited (Sam Energy), Mr. Qingba, Chairman of Mongolia's Osk LLC (Osk), led a delegation to visit China Sam Enterprise Group Limited (China Sam) for an exchange. The Chairman of China Sam warmly received the guests at the group headquarters. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on cross-border coal trade and China-Mongolia border port railway construction. Attending the talks were Shi Qingrong, Vice President of China Sam; Wu Lin, Assistant to the Chairman; Chimed, General Manager of Monjul Trading Company; Dorjsuren, General Manager of Narinsukhat Railway Company; and the Deputy General Manager of Sam Energy.
During the meeting, Vice President Shi Qingrong first extended a sincere welcome to Chairman Qingba's return visit and briefly introduced the business profile of China Sam. Subsequently, the General Manager of Sam Energy elaborated on the progress of project cooperation between the two parties. He noted that Mongolia is one of China's primary sources of imported coal. China Sam holds deep expectations for the prospects of China-Mongolia cooperation and looks forward to continuing extensive collaboration with Osk and others to jointly advance the construction of coal railway lines at China-Mongolia border ports and promote energy trade development between the two countries.
Chairman Qingba thanked the leadership of China Sam for the warm reception. He stated that since signing the first coal trade contract in Ulaanbaatar last month, personnel from all parties have continued in-depth discussions on topics such as coal railway construction, achieving phased progress. He expressed great anticipation for strengthening cooperation with the Group during this visit to China to expedite project implementation.
During the talks, Sam Energy, Osk, and Narinsukhat Railway Company conducted thorough exchanges on railway construction matters within China and Mongolia, proposing specific plans to ensure the effective implementation of their cooperation. Moving forward, China Sam will continue to deepen cooperation with Mongolian coal resource suppliers and related infrastructure partners, promoting the construction of cross-border railways. This aims to substantially enhance port transportation capacity, open up China-Mongolia energy corridors, and contribute to safeguarding national energy security.
