On the afternoon of October 19, Sam Energy Limited formally signed the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract in Beijing with CREC No. 4 Engineering Group (a subsidiary of China Railway Group Limited) and Mongolia Railway Company for the Shiveekhuren Port Railway Project in Mongolia. This marks a further deepening of practical cooperation between Chinese and Mongolian enterprises under the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Shiveekhuren Port Railway Project is located in Mongolia. The new railway line extends northward from the China-Mongolia cross-border point at the terminus of the Tavan Tolgoi Railway. The main line spans 6.96 kilometers and includes one newly built station—the Shiveekhuren Port Station. This station features a "one station, three yards" layout comprising a Border Inspection Yard, Receiving-Departure Yard, and Freight Yard. Upon completion, it will significantly enhance cargo throughput at the bilateral port, improve international trade logistics efficiency, and further promote economic exchanges between China and Mongolia.

Sam Energy is committed to building a modernized full coal industry chain. By investing in port infrastructure and industrial parks along the China-Mongolia border, and leveraging its robust capabilities in coal development, transportation, and distribution both domestically and internationally, the company aims to establish east-west international energy corridors. These efforts contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative and safeguard national energy security.
